A game jam is a coding challenge- normally a theme or rules are defined, and a deadline of around 48 hours is set for an entire (playable!) game to be developed by a small team.

You Can Take It With You

Me and Duncan made a game for the Indie Speed Run, a rolling game-jam contest held in the last few months of 2012. We chose to run for the final two days, setting our deadline for New Years Day 2013. Our assigned theme word was Afterlife and our required element was UFO. We made a horrifyingly vicious Inventory stacking game where you go through your life as an ancient Egyptian, assembling grave goods for your sarcophagus to take with you into the afterlife. With the last minute help of my buddy Will Dekaizer on audio, we delivered our project on time,
